Frequently Asked Questions
Concerning the Website and Ryan Tullis
Q.) Why did you make this blog in the first place?
****A.) Because I'm on a journey to become a literary figure. I will say this up front, then. This is what I want, and I think we must work hard for our goals. Nobody is born great, we must work hard. I want you to be along for the ride, through my failures and successes. Who knows if I'll do it, but I'm going to try.
Q.) Who are your influences as a writer?
****A.) Simon R. Green, Yasunari Kawabata, Franz Kafka, The Bible, Ray Bradbury, Earnest Hemingway.
Q.)
Concerning the novel Taralisu:
Q.) I think there's something else going on with this novel! Your characters, while killing, are often philosophical! Are there any hidden meanings?
****A.) I will not tell. :)
Q.) Do you plan to write a sequel?
****A.) I think that's a tough question. I'm not sure, yet. When I finished the book, I certainly kept the idea of a possible sequel in mind; however, whether to as I write one or not is up to the response Taralisu receives. Not to mention, I don't want to spend my life writing a series dedicated to one book. At most, it'd get one sequel. I have a lot of ideas I'd like to write down in my lifetime.
Q.) Woah! This book is violent! How can you call yourself a Christian, when you write such horrible acts on paper?
****A.) Because it's fiction. I know this FAQ might make some scratch their heads. But one would be shocked over how many times I have been asked this question. Tom Cruise was not really a samurai in "The Last Samurai." He's really a Scientologist. So, to answer your question in a little bit more detail, I don't think it matters if a Christian, in his or her art, portrays characters that represent his or her ideologies in a book, song, whatever because then we'd all have a bunch of identical characters based off the author and very little plot, wouldn't we? Separate art from morality as long as it doesn't effect others negatively. Read at your own risk (which is very little, as reading is great for you).
Q.) What denomination of Christian are you?
****A.) I'm a Christian.
